August 2025 Newsletter

Dear Patients,

August is here, and Seafair weekend just wrapped up! It’s truly the best time of year in Seattle and I hope you had a chance to soak up the sun and catch the Blue Angels soaring through the skies. Call me old school, but I love blasting the Top Gun theme while watching their incredible aerial stunts and flying maneuvers. And yes, I still have a dream of becoming a flight surgeon and flying in one of these jets taking care of their pilots.

With travel tournaments on pause for a bit, I’m looking forward to some downtime, hopefully out on the lake and sneaking in a few rounds of golf. As much as I love August in Seattle, it’s hard to believe we’re just a month away from school starting up again. I also want to thank you for your understanding as we made a decision to offer partial scholarships for our pediatric patients. As a small practice, it simply wasn’t sustainable for us to continue offering full scholarships to all 150 kids enrolled. We’ve now finalized enrollment for pediatric patients who chose to continue care with us, and we’re so grateful for your continued trust and support.

We are currently reviewing our waiting list to welcome a limited number of new families into our care. If you have a friend, family member, or colleague who could benefit from our care, now’s a great time to reach out before we close our patient panel again. We do have a monthly limit on new patients, but we always prioritize referrals from our current families when moving through the waitlist.

For parents who’ve enrolled their kids, now’s a great time to schedule their annual check-ups and sports physicals before the back-to-school rush. In past years, last-minute physicals, immunizations, and school forms have filled up our same-day and urgent care slots, taking spots meant for truly urgent needs. By planning ahead, we can keep those urgent care appointments open for patients who really need them. Thanks for helping us keep things running smoothly!

Lastly, I want to extend a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who supported my daughter Sydney during the Teen of Impact competition with the American Heart Association. I’m truly grateful for the incredible patients who came out to play pickleball with us, donated to her campaign, and cheered her on. Thanks to your generosity and encouragement, she won for Washington State and we couldn’t be more proud!!
