Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive therapeutic procedure that employs magnetic fields to stimulate targeted areas of the brain. During the treatment, an electromagnetic coil is positioned against the scalp near the forehead. The device generates magnetic pulses that activate nerve cells in brain regions associated with mood regulation and depressive symptoms. By delivering repeated magnetic stimulation to these areas, TMS can enhance neuronal activity, potentially leading to improvements in mood and reductions in depressive symptoms.
